Sleepy StarshipMeet Choo-Choo
Every Captain needs a co-pilot. On the Sleepy Starship, that's Choo-Choo.
Choo-Choo is about the size of a house cat. She is soft and fuzzy, with patterned fur, a long curly tail, big round ears and big round eyes. She waddles on two feet when she lands on a new world, and she floats when the ship is out in space.
Choo-Choo doesn't talk. But she purrs, and she coos, and she trills. And she notices everything: a raindrop on a leaf, a starfish moving very slowly, a sound far away in the grass.
Her little trill
Choo-Choo has one special sound, a soft little trill. It plays a few times in every episode, at her cuddliest moments: when she nuzzles the Captain hello, when she finds something on the planet, and when she curls up in the Captain's lap on the way home. Kids start to listen for it.
Why she never talks
A co-pilot who only purrs and trills keeps the story quiet. Choo-Choo shows what she feels by what she does, which gives kids room to imagine the rest.
